Flight Deck Philosophy
The philosophy behind designing and building flight decks for the Falcon business jet has always remained true to one purpose: the passionate pursuit of operational safety. To achieve this end, Dassault adheres to five principles:
1. Pilots know best. Involve them at every stage of development.
2. Aim toward a seamless man-machine interface.
3. Heighten crew awareness at every level.
4. Keep things simple, reliable and maintainable.
5. Leverage technology with the first four points in mind.
Technology and innovation have always played a big part in Dassault's ultimate goal of uncompromised safety. Not surprisingly, the company has led the industry in the adoption and application of new, safe-flight concepts and systems. Among the most notable "firsts," Falcons were the first business aircraft to offer EFIS as standard equipment and the first to offer HGS with full Cat III capabilities.
Much of Dassault's leadership in flight deck design stems from the incredible wealth of application knowledge gained from building Mach 2 fighter jets. A perfect example of this is the new EASy flight deck. Its intuitive design and crystal clear presentation prepares business jet pilots to make smarter and safer split-second decisions than ever before.
