Manufacturing

The powerful design and engineering resources at Dassault, the quality of its products and the very high finish of the Falcons are a testament to the unyielding passion and philosophy in manufacturing. Even if Dassault pioneered the use of robotics in aeronautics, it has nonetheless retained teams of technicians whose very high professional qualifications are the guarantee of the level of quality demanded by the customers. In a highly competitive market, the notion of quality assumes primary importance.

The use of highly sophisticated production systems controlled by computer and working with extreme precision, has not obviated the need for human surveillance and control. It is often necessary to use the traditional means-once thought obsolete but in fact irreplaceable-to correct machine errors, which are always possible. There are also a large number of meticulous tasks for which there is no alternative to the human brain and hand - a true balance of man and machine. As everyone knows, the degree of thoroughness and attention to detail put into these tasks will determine the overall reliability of the system.

The demanding Falcon manufacturing rules and in particular the exacting precision of assembly guarantee not only the homogeneity of the structure, but also the interchangeability of all its components.

Chance, inaccuracy and uncertainty have no place at any stage in the manufacture of a Falcon.
