6X TAKING SHAPE

More good news from the production line

The latest reports from the Falcon 6X development team are very exciting. The program is moving full steam ahead. The fuselage assembly is nearing completion at the Biarritz facility, as is the wing assembly in Bordeaux. And the 6X’s Pratt & Whitney engine continues to achieve milestones in line with the initial program plan. With so much going on, we’ll soon be launching a dedicated 6X email newsletter. ALPINE HEIGHTS

8X impresses in Switzerland

The Falcon 8X continues to prove why it’s the flagship of the Falcon fleet. In an impressive show of agility and precision that would make a Swiss watchmaker proud, the large-cabin 8X was recently filmed making pinpoint-perfect landings at two high-elevation airports: Gstaad and Les Eplatures in Switzerland. Both feature short, challenging runways. Gstaad is particularly difficult because of its location in a valley surrounded by mountains, while Les Eplatures features a 3,458 feet (1,054 m) length runway available for landing.

Falcon Spotlight

TRAVOLTA FLIES HIGH

For love of Falcons

John Travolta has been in the spotlight since his days as a teen heart throb on “Welcome Back, Kotter.” Now 65, the actor was featured in the June 2019 issue of Falconer Magazine, this time in a different role: as an avid pilot and owner of Falcon jets. Travolta owns a Falcon 2000 (among other jets) and has recently acquired a Falcon 900. In fact, he loves his aircraft so much he keeps them at home and flies them from his personal airstrip. He even chooses acting projects that “force” him to fly. In a Falcon, who can blame him?
