The full-scale mockup continues its world tour with stops at numerous events, including EBACE in Geneva (May 26-28) and several others in the US.

8X AGILITY AND GRACE
A beautiful landing in scenic Gstaad, Switzerland
The latest addition to Dassault’s series of “Performance” videos is a “horse of a different color,” as the saying goes. In it, images of the Falcon 8X on the ground and in the air are juxtaposed against a horse-and-rider team on a famous Gstaad polo field as a way to express the power and poetry of motion. The athleticism of the horse parallels the speed and agility of the aircraft as it makes a perfect landing at one of Europe’s most challenging airports.

Supporting Falcons at major events
Taking care of customers who attend international events has become a regular part of Dassault’s Customer Service offering. Our support teams began 2020 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. While owners and passengers attended programs, Dassault spoke with Falcon crews at Zurich FBOs and at a social gathering arranged for them. After Davos, support teams moved on to the Super Bowl (the biggest private jet day of the year in the US) in Miami, Florida. And this summer, Dassault Customer Service will have a major presence at the Olympics in Japan.

FALCON 8X VS GULFSTREAM 650
Both thumbs up for 8X
A recent AvBuyer video compared the Falcon 8X and Gulfstream 650 for overall costs, fuel burn, technology, and passenger experience. The verdict? 8X wins on operating costs, efficiency, fuel burn (significantly less, even with three engines!) and maintenance costs, among other factors. The chief differentiator, according to AvBuyer, is the engineering background of the two planes, noting that because Falcons benefit from fighter jet technology, the 8X is inherently more advanced than the 650.
