WELCOME TO 2021
The best is yet to come

Every New Year is a time of renewed hope. But, this one is especially welcome. Here at Dassault Aviation, we’re optimistic about the future, one that will begin with the first flight of the Falcon 6X. We’re also looking forward to new ventures, new relationships, and to working with our customers to help them achieve success in all their endeavors. So, here’s to 2021 and all the possibilities it may bring.

2020 ENDS WITH A BANG
The 6X rollout was a virtual sensation

December 8, 2020 was a day of firsts for both Dassault and the business jet industry. First, because of the rollout of the ultra widebody Falcon 6X, which took place in Bordeaux-Merignac. And second, because the event was streamed online for a global audience. Thousands logged on from the four corners of the world to see the amazing 6X debut. And the rollout replay has received more than 66,000 views on YouTube. The entire program can be found on the Falcon website and includes interviews with Eric Trappier, Carlos Brana and other key team members.

ANOTHER FALCON VICTORY
2000LXS is a welcome “Albatros”

The French Ministry of the Armed Forces has announced that the "Albatros" Maritime Surveillance and Intervention Aircraft (AVSIMAR) program will be based on the Falcon 2000LXS. Seven aircraft, out of a planned order of twelve, will begin delivery in 2025. Over the last half century, Dassault Aviation has modified many Falcon aircraft for maritime surveillance and research, medical rescue, cargo transport and training missions. In fact, approximately 10% of the current fleet is comprised of multi-role Falcons carrying out vital missions for nations around the world.

BIG PLANE, BIG DATA

Another Falcon 6X game-changer

In his final Crew Chief Blog of 2020, Jean Kayanakis shines a light on FalconScan, one of the many systems that makes the Falcon 6X amazingly smart, as well as big and beautiful. FalconScan is the most advanced diagnostic tool ever installed on a business jet. It collects and analyzes data from every aircraft system, monitoring an astounding 100,000 parameters, thousands more than similar systems on current Falcons. But it’s what the system does, giving air and ground crews a head’s up on potential problems, that makes it a game-changer.
