MEET THE MIGHTY FALCON 10XThe new top of the market
May 6 was a banner day with the launch of the Falcon 10X in a dazzling, on-line event hosted by journalist Miles O’Brien and featuring a “life-size” computer-generated aircraft. The Falcon 10X has a 7,500 nm range (13,900 km), the industry’s largest, most modular cabin, and the most advanced technology in a business jet. ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER SUCCESSFirst flight for the second 6X
On April 30, Dassault took another step forward in the drive to 6X certification by flying the second Falcon 6X flight test aircraft. Over the course of the two-hour test, pilots took the aircraft to Flight Level 400 and accelerated to Mach 0.85. They were extremely pleased with its performance and handling. A third 6X, with a finished interior, will soon roll out for testing of cabin systems, amenities and equipment followed by 6X serial number four which will undertake a global tour for endurance and long-range flight testing.

EXPANDING A SPHERE OF EXCELLENCE
New applications for FalconSphere
As part of its FalconSphere suite of pilot solutions, Dassault Aviation has released two new Falcon 7X & 8X performance applications for iPad: Electronic Performance Manual (ePM), which provides important performance and flight optimization functions, and Electronic Weight & Balance (eWB), which is an advanced means of generating customized aircraft loading. Subscription to the two apps is fully covered for FalconCare customers.

8X simulator lands in Teterboro
FlightSafety International has received FAA certification for a level-D simulator for the Falcon 8X installed at Dassault’s Teterboro, New Jersey learning center. It’s their first 8X simulator in North America, the other being at Paris-Le Bourget, offering EASy III EASA- and FAA-approved pilot courses, as well as 8X LiveLearning EASA recurrent pilot training. FlightSafety also offers Falcon 8X maintenance training at its Le Bourget and Dallas/Fort Worth centers.

On April 20, Dassault was proud to be a major sponsor of the first-ever European Business Aviation SAF Summit. The online event gathered high-level EU officials and leaders of the business aviation industry to discuss accelerating availability and use of Sustainable Aircraft Fuels. Dassault Chairman and CEO, Eric Trappier shared his views on the subject in an extensive interview that includes de-carbonization, and the evolution of SAF. His insights make for interesting reading.
