SITTING IS BELIEVING
Cabin mockup brings modularity to life

Lately, the best show in business aviation has been the Falcon 10X Cabin Mockup, which delighted visitors at the recent NBAA-BACE convention. The mockup currently on display at the Paris-Le Bourget showroom is as unique as the aircraft. Not only can visitors experience the 10X’s immense size and innovative details, they can experience multiple layouts through the magic of modularity, brilliantly executed by the Dassault Design Team.

TWIN WIN
Falcon 6X engines win certification

Entry into service is a step closer for the extra widebody Falcon 6X thanks to certification of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D engine by Transport Canada. Powerful and fuel-efficient, it’s the most advanced of the PW800 family. And one reason the Falcon 6X flight test program is going so smoothly. The 13,500 lb-thrust PW812D will provide the Falcon 6X with a range of up to 5,500 nm (10,200 km) and a top speed of Mach 0.90.

C-CHECK GETS AN A+

How Dassault shares “tribal knowledge” globally

“Tribal knowledge” is simply the accumulated expertise available to every owner and operator of a Dassault product. Whether it’s military-to-civilian technology transfers or extending aircraft lifetimes. In the latest Crew Chief Blog, Jean Kanayakis recounts the story of an all-Dassault effort in support of a first-time C-check of a Falcon 2000LXS by its ExecuJet subsidiary in Malaysia. It was the kind of team operation that happens regularly in Dassault’s MRO network.

GREENER FROM
THE GROUND UP

TMS powers up ground operations at Geneva Airport

Dassault-owned TAG Maintenance Services (TMS) has brought online a new-generation electric, Ground Power Unit (eGPU), the first electric GPU to be used at Geneva airport as part of its green airport strategy. It’s also the first to be acquired by a European business aviation MRO provider. Using eGPUs instead of diesel power is part of Dassault’s commitment to reduce its global emissions footprint across its entire MRO network.

FALCON 6X TESTING
GOES GREEN

First refueling with biofuel at Le Bourget

The Falcon 6X test program is well on its way to 2022 certification. Recently, the program entered a new phase when one aircraft was refueled for the first time with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at Le Bourget Airport. The biofuel was provided by TotalEnergies, which now has a permanent supply there. SAF, which in this case, was made from used cooking oil, reduces CO2 emissions compared to fossil fuel. The 6X will continue to use SAF during its flight test campaign as part of Dassault’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
