10X WINNING STREAK
New praise for the newest Falcon

The Falcon 10X continues to harvest accolades. Recently, the Robb Report named it the 2022 Best of the Best Ultra-Long-Range Jet for “its largest-in-class interior as well as extended range and speed.” The judges of the prestigious Red Dot Design Awards raved, “the cabin is more like a "hotel suite than a plane." And the Runway Girl Network noted its aesthetic has “shades of Mondrian…just one of the influences that is very French yet very refined.”

SOME LIKE IT HOT
Falcon 6X tops another tough test

Last December, the 6X cold soaked to -37°C (-35°F) in successful tests in Canada. This summer, the scene shifted to Tozeur, gateway to the Tunisian desert. The 6X baked on the ramp to 48°C (118°F), with interior temps higher still. Engine starts and the fuel system behaved as expected. Cabin cooling was more than adequate for the brutally hot conditions. The 6X is in the final phase of testing, receiving high marks from pilots and engineers.

A WORLD TOUR WONDER
Falcon 6X route-proving tour achieved

The first production Falcon 6X, serial number 004, took off from Paris-Le Bourget for a world route-proving tour in July. The tour spanned 40 destinations and over 150 flight hours. Engineers evaluated more than 250 items involving the flight deck, the cabin, external ground service points and more. It was a true test of the real-word maturity of the Falcon 6X, which is due to enter service in mid-2023.

SEEING DOUBLE

Dassault Dual HUD is good to go

With FAA and EASA certification in hand, a dual head-up display option is now available for the Falcon 8X. Several operators have already scheduled installations. The option will also be certified on the Falcon 6X, which enters service mid-2023. FalconEye, single HUD aircraft can fly non-precision approaches to 100 feet. The dual HUD will eventually permit landing in near zero-zero conditions, pending new EASA regulations.

EASy IV AT THE CONTROLS

A new level of flight deck capability

Dassault has introduced the fourth generation of the EASy flight deck with more vivid displays, more processing power, new capabilities and new safety features—for example, an alert feature to prevent runway overruns. EASy IV is the new standard for the Falcon 6X, which enters service mid-2023. It will also be standard on new Falcon 8X aircraft starting in 2023. EASy IV is available as an upgrade for earlier 7X and 8X aircraft.
