The Company Demonstrates Commitment to Customer Support with New Catarina Service Center.
Dassault’s new Falcon 6X extra widebody business jet will be on display at the Latin American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE), which opens at São Paulo’s Congonhas Airport on August 6.
Featuring an award-winning interior with the largest cabin cross-section in business aviation, the 5,500 nm Falcon 6X is built for comfort and capability and is sized to carry up to 16 passengers.
The aircraft on display is coming off a six-month global flight proving tour during which it did not miss a single demo over 700 hours of flight, demonstrating an exceptional degree of reliability.
The 6X’s next-generation digital flight control system provides an unparalleled level of precision handling and turbulence damping that guarantees a silky smooth ride under all travel conditions. Despite its size, the airplane can access short fields, having already demonstrated this capability at mountain runways under 3,500 feet.
A Falcon 2000LXS will also be on display at the show. The latest in the popular 2000-series (close to 700 aircraft delivered to date), this aircraft is prized by flight departments and charter operators around the world for its unmatched comfort, efficiency, and short field performance. The LXS seats up to 10 in widebody comfort and features a range of 4,000 nm.
This year’s LABACE will also allow operators an opportunity to familiarize themselves with Dassault’s newest aircraft, the Falcon 10X, that will cruise at Mach 0.925 and fly up to 13,890 km non-stop. When certified in 2027, the 10X will be the largest purpose-built business jet in the industry. Its fourth-generation flight deck will provide a number of novel safety features, including large-touchscreen displays; a single-lever Smart Throttle, derived from top-line fighter technology; and an automatic recovery mode.
State of the Art Service Center in Catarina
Dassault’s Falcon Jet affiliate recently opened a brand-new company-owned service center at Sao Paulo’s new Catarina Excecutive Airport that will considerably expand customer support opportunities for Latin American operators. Sao Paulo-Catarina will offer nearly 40,000 square feet (3600 square meters) of floor and office space and will be able to accommodate up to five Falcons simultaneously, including the big new Falcon 10X.
The facility holds repair station certification from Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), the FAA, and EASA as well as airworthiness authorities in Argentina, Bermuda and Uruguay. It is authorized to handle line maintenance and calendar and flight hour inspections for the Falcon 50 and 900, Falcon 2000 series models, and the Falcon 7X and 8X. It also offers Pre-Purchase Evaluations (PPEs) for operators considering a pre-owned Falcon.
In addition to airframe inspections and services, the Catarina facility is approved to perform engine line maintenance on the CFE-738, Honeywell TFE731 and Pratt & Whitney Canada power plants.
