Hello everyone.
Let me begin by saying that my first Crew Chief Blog of the year will also be my last. After a career journey at Dassault Aviation that took me from the fighter jet prototype workshop nearly 40 years ago to my current position, it is finally time to retire. It’s a new beginning for me and my family, but also for our Worldwide Customer Service organization.
Our new “Crew Chief” is Jean Kayanakis, who has served the company in many capacities and is highly respected by customers and colleagues alike. In his new role as Senior VP, Worldwide Customer Service & Service Center Network, he will be responsible for customer service activities, our service center network and pilot operational support. I am confident that, under Jean’s leadership, the momentum we have created in so many areas — from our expanding network to innovative programs — will continue.
To further strengthen our customer support team, Geoff Chick, whom many of you know through his work for DFJ in the Americas and Asia, will also take on a new role, as Senior VP, Worldwide Service Network. John Loh will succeed Geoff as VP, Customer Service in Teterboro. Finally, Pierre Thielin has been promoted to VP, Worldwide Customer Service in Saint-Cloud. Surely, all the members of the Falcon family, whether they fly, operate or maintain one of the 2100+ Falcons in service today will be in very good hands.
To the many customers whom I have been privileged to serve and the OAB, which represents them, my sincere thanks for our time together. It’s been rewarding to get to know all of you. Because of your loyalty and the passion of my dedicated colleagues, Dassault Aviation is, and will continue to be, a great company. It’s been an honor to have been a part of it.
