Mo​re performance with more efficiency from more airports

The Falcon 2000LXS shines on typical, intercontinental nonstop flights between cities like Paris and New York, Singapore and Sydney or Mauritius. And it is brilliant on missions that are beyond the capabilities of comparable jets. This is a big, widebody 4,000 nm (7,410 km) aircraft with the ability to access short and challenging runways other jets run away from.


Get up and go

The Falcon 2000LXS takes off from short runways and climbs direct to 41,000 feet (12,497 m) in just 20 minutes, above time-wasting traffic and turbulent weather.
And then it goes.
At speeds up to Mach .84 on short hops.
At Mach .80, it will carry six passengers 4,000 nm (7,410 km).


Get closer

With its optimized, fully slatted wings, the Falcon 2000LXS delivers an exceptional balance of range and superior airfield performance. Especially from challenging airports with steep approaches angles, such as London City and Lugano, Switzerland. And, at maximum takeoff weight, the 2000LXS uses 1,000 feet (305 m) less runway than its closest competitor. So, while both provide maximum range from the airports in red, only the Falcon can deliver maximum range from those in green.

At high elevation airfields – like Aspen, Colorado, or La Paz in Bolivia – the runway advantage of the 2000LXS doubles to more than 2,000 feet (610 m), increasing an already considerable advantage in access to hundreds more airports around the globe. But in addition to being able to land at these airports, Falcon 2000LXS operators also benefit from the ability to fly farther from them.

With all its cabin and capability, the Falcon 2000LXS can land at over 90% of its maximum takeoff weight. So you can fill the tanks at home base, where fuel prices are often less expensive, make multiple short hops, and still have plenty of unrefueled nonstop range, saving you money and time.

The wing of the Falcon 2000LXS is optimized for low-speed stability and high-speed efficiency with features like high-Mach blended winglets, extendable inboard slats, leading-edge slats and slotted Fowler flaps. While the advantages are felt in every phase of flight, they are perhaps most apparent in the astonishing airfield performance and mission flexibility of the Falcon 2000LXS.

FalconEye for EASy II, business aviation’s most advanced flight deck

From the first head-up guidance system in operational use, which was installed on Dassault’s Mirage IIIB fighter, to the advanced units on today’s Mirage 2000 and Rafale combat craft, Dassault has been a forerunner in the development of the modern HUD system. Early in the 1990s Dassault introduced this technology to business aviation on the original Falcon 2000. And now we have added another industry-first to the Falcon 2000 platform, FalconEye. This full-time, multi-spectral, high def, Combined Vision System (CVS) marries an Enhanced Vision System (EVS) and Synthetic Vision System (SVS) into one harmonious heads up view. It provides a step up in situational awareness that’s an invaluable advantage, especially in the worst weather conditions and in the dead of night. FalconEye is just the latest innovation to a flight deck that has forever raised industry standards for intuitive flying and situational awareness. Now the Falcon 2000LXS boasts the next generation of this astonishing avionics suite, EASy II.

EASy II combines the intuitive feel of a fighter jet with the most advanced avionics and computer back-ups. It further reduces pilot workload in countless ways, automating or abbreviating tasks that are repetitive, stressful and distracting, while keeping pilots in harmony and focused on flying. EASy II’s Flight Management System (FMS) enables options like SBAS/LPV, which permits a wider range of approaches. Add XM® Graphical Weather and you get the big meteorological picture plus a host of enhanced weather products. And there’s Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B Out) — the cornerstone of the next-generation Air Traffic Management (ATM) System, as well as CPDLC (Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications) functions. EASy II introduces a number of safety-enhancing features as standard equipment. Its improved symbology further optimizes situational awareness. While the available SmartRunway™ Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) reduces the risk of runway incursions and excursions with audible alerts.

 

Reliable power proven over one million flight hours

Twin enhanced Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C turbofans power the Falcon 2000LXS. A rugged, 7,000-pound thrust engine from a manufacturer whose name is synonymous with engine reliability, the PW308C incorporates advanced technology for high durability, low emissions and low operating costs. Proven over a million flight hours, it is tailor made for the Falcon, complementing the plane’s superior aerodynamics with high levels of efficiency and dramatically lower emissions.

The PW308C offers a fuel advantage of up to 35% over other large cabin planes and 10% over much smaller, less comfortable jets. With improvements to both the combustion and fuel delivery systems, the new PW308C engine boasts best-in-class emission performance. Enhancements include a high-efficiency, reduced-volume TALON II™ combustor with enhanced fuel atomization characteristics. This engine satisfies FAA, ICAO, CAEP/6 smoke and emission level standards, and also meets Zurich class 5 requirements, while exceeding those for NOx and CO levels. What’s more, the PW308C is optimized for ease of maintenance. Engines are warranted for 5 years or 3,000 hours and thrust reversers for 5 years or 5,000 hours. Perhaps best of all, the PW308C’s impressive time-between overhaul requirement of 7,000 hours, keeps the Falcon 2000LXS out of the shop and in the air.

Making an impact by minimizing our own

Every Falcon is designed and built to fly more efficiently at all altitudes than other aircraft in its class. That saves fuel, saving you money. And for every pound of fuel saved, the environment is spared 3.15 pounds of CO2 emissions. The Falcon 2000LXS is designed to be one of the greenest Falcons yet. Its wing is designed and equipped to reduce fuel costs and emissions. Its clean, optimized shape reduces drag and lowers fuel consumption. Blended winglets reduce fuel burn by an additional 5%. Leading-edge slats and slotted Fowler flaps further enhance efficiency, giving the 2000LXS the lowest cost of operation in its category, a hallmark of Falcon ownership.

Compared across categories, the fuel burn advantage of the 2000LXS outperforms even smaller jets. Compared with similarly sized competitors, it can save enough fuel over a 10-year period to pay for engine and APU maintenance at the very least – and possibly for almost all aircraft ​maintenance costs.
