6X TAKING SHAPE

Manufacturing in full swing

Having completed the design phase this spring, the Falcon 6X program is now well into the manufacturing phase and on track to complete assembly of the first aircraft by early 2020. Work is going full throttle at the Biarritz facility, where the aft section of the 6X fuselage is assembled. Later this fall, the complete fuselage will be delivered to Bordeaux-Mérignac for final assembly. These are significant milestones on the 6X’s journey to its first flight in 2021 and first deliveries in 2022.

Notes from the Field

MEETING IN MÉRIGNAC

OAB members together again

The annual Falcon Operator Advisory Board (OAB) meeting took place in June in Bordeaux-Mérignac, France. As always, it gave Dassault executives, department heads and subject matter experts a venue for a variety of topics. Opportunities discussed included expanding FalconCare coverage to pressing our advantage on fuel efficiency. Dassault customer support also received high praise for our M&Os, FalconResponse and expanding service center network.

NETWORK EXPANDS AGAIN

Dassault acquires RUAG sites

Dassault Aviation has reached an agreement to acquire RUAG’s Geneva and Lugano business aviation activities. A worldwide aerospace technology leader, RUAG knows Falcons well, having been part of our Authorized Service Center network. With this, and our acquisition of the MRO activities of ExecuJet and TAG, we will have our strongest global service center network ever. It’s driven by our commitment to improving the customer experience everywhere the Falcon fleet travels.

SEEING IS BELIEVING

New video brings 6X to life

It features the largest cross-section ever in a purpose-built business jet. A new 6X video explores what it’s like to work and live in an environment designed for peak functionality and comfort. There’s no bending or disturbing one’s neighbors. Just plenty of extra room and natural light (including a galley skylight.)
