As I write this post for the Crew Chief blog, I’m reflecting on the just-concluded NBAA-BACE show in Orlando. And one piece of exciting news that had attendees buzzing is FalconConnect.
As you may know, FalconConnect is a fully integrated, cockpit to cabin to ground connectivity package. Dassault has developed the system in partnership with Honeywell/Go Direct, and, if you don’t mind my saying so, we believe it’s the most easy-to-use, best-value solution out there because it isn’t just functionally superior. It addresses specific concerns customers have had with the way high-speed access has traditionally been offered. With FalconConnect, you no longer have to deal with the headaches of integrating multiple systems and vendors. Or the lack of cost predictability.So it’s really good news that, recently, a Falcon 2000LXS retrofitted with FalconConnect rolled out of a Dassault facility. This newly upgraded aircraft is now a true “office in the sky” and the first to benefit from all that FalconConnect has to offer. But it won’t be the last. By the end of the year, we’ll be offering FalconConnect as an upgrade for in-service Falcons, and as an option for all new Falcons as of 2019. And that’s right around the corner!
